The Official AMG Artist Development Seal signifies a standard of excellence in the music industry. You will receive the AMG Artist Development Seal of Excellence upon completion of the 10 STEPS. You will be able to use it on your demo packages, EPK, website, MySpace etc. Your name and information will be attached below the seal. When you complete the STEPS, we'll send a code string attached to the seal that will lead to a confirmation page where talent scouts can confirm your completion of the program, read your success story, hear your music and contact you.

So what is Artist Development and why do I need it?
There was a time when record labels were in the business of developing the careers of their newly signed recording artists.
Today, it is much harder to find a record label committed to development. When a major label signs a new artist or band, they presume the act has sufficient development in addition to musical, songwriting, and performance talent.
Up until the late 1980s most record labels had a department called Artist Development. The job of the Artist Development Executive was to support the artist’s talents while steadily developing a fan-base for them.
In today’s music industry, Artist Development has vanished as artists are expected to do almost everything independently! Some artists are lucky enough to have a manager who is an expert in the music industry, but even great managers and independent labels are finding that development is a huge investment of time and resources.
Most Artist Development Consultants with a proven-track record and experience in the industry will work with you for a very high retainer. The average Music Industry Consultant charges thousands of dollars up front. Yet, most artists, managers, and indie labels can not afford high retainers.
