Founded by Sylvie Harris in 2000, Alpha Music Group (AMG) became New York's premier independent A&R Firm.
Ms. Harris worked closely with independent artists, record labels, music managers, music publicity agents, music promoters and music industry professionals interested in cultivating talent.
Under her oversight, AMG successfully integrated Artist Development, A&R Services, Public Relations, and Management into the host of services offered. After delivering a keynote speach on independent music marketing at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall, Ms. Harris retired from AMG and turned the company over to Miles Aron. Today, Ms. harris is CEO of Notes for Change - a non-for-profit organization that works with local talent to raise awareness and funds for charities througout her home state of Connecticut.
Miles Aron is a jazz guitarist and music marketing visionary. He took over AMG in 2008 and is focused to the continuation of AMG's primary publication - The AMG Record Label Tip Sheet. The AMG Record Label Tip Sheet connects artists with record label talent scouts. Over the years, The AMG Record Label Tip Sheet became, and continues to be, the most recognized and exclusive Tip Sheet in the record label industry with approximately 1500 record label talent scouts reading the Tip Sheet each month.
AMG bridges the gap between independent artists and record labels by working
closely with A&R Representatives at numerous records labels including Atlantic, Bad Boy Entertainment, Columbia, Epic, Interscope, Island Records, Koch, Sony, TVT Records, Wind-up, and many more.
An active member of the music community, AMG is a member of NARIP (National Association of Recording Industry Professionals) and The Recording Academy also known as the Grammy's.
